If you're going shellfishing, you're probably interested in your local shellfish.  The Massachusetts Shellfish Officers Association and the Barnstable County Cooperative Extension have put together a guide to shellfish in Massachusetts.

A lot of folks who shellfish or walk the beach, however, have a lot of questions about all sorts of things they find.  At low tide, a whole new world is uncovered.  Twice a day, the waters recede, changing water level by ~10 feet in Wellfleet Harbor.  This is an excellent opportunity to explore the beach and the plants and animals that live there.  Where can you learn more?
