Chris has been with the Shellfish Department since October 2000 and has focused primarily on enforcement and propagation.  He is a graduate of Thomaston High School in Connecticut and holds an Associate Degree in Science from Northwestern Connecticut Community College with specialization in Recreation Leadership and Park Management.  He is also certified as a Wilderness First Responder.  Before joining this Department, Chris had previous experience as a Naturalist/Teacher and animal rehabilitator at the Roaring Brook Nature Center and also worked at the Burlington CT Fish Hatchery.  Chris is an accomplished musician and song writer.  He has performed his own compositions at several locations on Cape Cod, as well as in many clubs and coffee houses across the United States.  Chris resides in Wellfleet and has a strong commitment to the preservation and development of Wellfleet’s natural resources.  He supports both formal and informal educational functions that help make this development possible.
